Complete 2015-16 Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – Three teams that took part in last season's NCAA Tournament highlight the Philadelphia University men's basketball team's 2015-16 schedule, announced by Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame head coach Herb Magee on Friday.

The Rams—who went 24-8, won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) title, and reached the NCAA Tournament—square off with East Region champion Southern New Hampshire, region semifinalist and conference foe the University of the Sciences, and St. Anselm.

Philadelphia's schedule also includes games against three teams that won over 20 games a year ago: Southern Hampshire (24-8), USciences (25-6), and Holy Family (22-8).

The season unofficially gets underway with an exhibition contest at Division I La Salle University on Nov. 7 in Tom Gola Arena. The two teams squared off last season with the Explorers defeating the Rams 79-61.

The Rams open the 2015-16 season with three straight home games. Philadelphia's home and season opener comes on Nov. 15 against Franklin Pierce. The last meeting between the two schools came in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

A day later, the Rams welcome the University of the District of Columbia to the Gallagher Center. Philadelphia gets CACC play underway against USciences on Nov. 18 to close out the home stand.

Philadelphia goes on the road for the first time the weekend of Nov. 21-22 for a pair of games against Southern New Hampshire. The Rams face Merrimack on the 21st and then play the host Penmen a day later.

The Rams return to the Gallagher Center for clashes with Georgian Court on Nov. 24, New Haven on Nov. 29, and Goldey-Beacom on Dec. 5.

After the showdown with the Lightning, Philadelphia doesn't play at home until the new year as they close out 2015 with six consecutive games on the road. The string of road games starts against conference foes Wilmington on Dec. 8, Holy Family on Dec. 10, and Chestnut Hill on Dec. 12. Philadelphia defeated Wilmington 77-68 to win the 2015 CACC championship.

The Rams get a week off before heading to Assumption for the East Region Challenge against The College of Saint Rose and the host Greyhounds on the weekend of Dec. 19-20. Philadelphia closes out the calendar year with a New Year's Eve contest at Saint Anselm.

The 2016 portion of the schedule starts with back-to-back CACC home contests with Concordia (N.Y.) on Jan. 6 and Felician on Jan. 9. After a trip to Caldwell on Jan. 11, the team returns home for its non-conference game of the season against Kutztown on Jan. 13.

Philadelphia's run of 10 straight conference games to end the season starts with visits to Goldey-Beacom on Jan. 20 and Post on Jan. 23. The Rams close out January hosting Wilmington on the 26th and Bloomfield on the 30th.

Three out of the Rams' first four games in February will be played away from the Gallagher Center. Philadelphia heads to Dominican (N.Y.) on Feb. 6, USciences on Feb. 9, and Georgian Court on Feb. 18. A home game against Nyack is stuck in between on Feb. 13.

The regular season comes to an end with home games against Holy Family on Feb. 20 and Chestnut Hill on Feb. 23.
