Assistant Coach Chris Nestor

Chris Nestor embarks on his second season as a member of the Philadelphia University men's basketball coaching staff.  Nestor came to the Rams after having served as a basketball coach in the Cheltenham Township School District for six years.  His background as a personal trainer for many years has helped greatly to improve the overall strength and conditioning of the Philadelphia University basketball program.  In addition, Nestor drills the team in on-court instruction, and his assignments also include scouting and assisting head coach Herb Magee in the day-to-day operations of the team. Nestor currently is in his ninth year as a Health and Physical Education Teacher in the Cheltenham School District, where he was selected for Who's Who Among America's Teachers in 2005.  Nestor graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1996, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology, with a minor in Athletic Training. He went on to receive his Masters in Education degree from Pittsburgh in 2000. Nestor currently resides in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia with his wife Alyssa.
