Lou Becht is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Rams.

Becht comes to PhilaU after three seasons as an assistant coach at Widener University. He helped the Pride to a 49-31 record, a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Championship in 2008-2009 and an appearance in the NCAA tournament. Before going to Widener, Becht coached six seasons at Archbishop Carroll High School. As the interim head coach in 2004-2005, Becht led the Patriots to a 12-13 mark in the tough Philadelphia Catholic League Southern Division.

He also served five seasons as an assistant women's volleyball coach at Cabrini College from 2002-2007, helping the team to three consecutive PAC semifinals appearances.

Becht graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 with a B.A. in history and minors in psychology and music theory. At Penn he played four seasons on the Penn JV team, compiling a 38-22 record as a player.

Becht earned his M.Ed from Cabini in 2007. He presently teaches at Lansdale Catholic High School and resides in Ardmore, Pa.
