Assistant Coach Matt Hartman

Matt Hartman begins his second season as a Philadelphia University men's basketball assistant coach. The Media, Pa., native focuses on advanced scouting for the Rams as well as on-court instruction for head coach Herb Magee's team. This is the first collegiate coaching position for Hartman, who is the nephew of former Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics head coach Jim O'Brien. Prior to joining the Rams, Hartman spent a year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and resided and worked with the homeless at a shelter in Spokane, Wash. Hartman is a 2005 graduate of St. Joseph's University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
