Rams sit tied for fifth after first day of CACC Golf Championship

LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – The Philadelphia University men's golf team is in sixth place after the first day of action at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship, hosted by Chestnut Hill, at the Whitemarsh Valley County Club Tuesday.

The Rams put together a team score 330 (42 over par) on day one of the two-day event. Philadelphia is tied with Goldey-Beacom for the fifth position. 

Joseph Parker and Brandon Capone each recorded low rounds of 81 for the Rams with a score of 81 (+9) and sit in a tie for 17th place.

Ryan O'Donnell is deadlocked for the 22nd position after finishing his round with an 83 (+11). Brad Krohl completed his round in 85 shots (+13), which is tied for 28th. Stanley Chun turned in a scorecard of 86 (+14) and is in 30th.

Wilmington (Del.) is in the lead for the team championship with a score of 309 (+21).
Wilmington's Daniel Ott and Concordia's Jeff Schaller are tied for the lead with rounds of 75 (+3).
Philadelphia's second round will begin when Chun ties off at 9:30 a.m.
