PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The Philadelphia University golf team closed out the fall season tying for 11th-place at the Rutgers-University Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Invitational on Monday afternoon at the par-70 Pennsauken Country Club.
The Rams had a team score of 346 (+66) to finish in a deadlock with Penn-State Berks. The host Scarlet Raptors won the event after posting a score of 307 (+27).
Nicholas Nguyen (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) paced Philadelphia on Monday with a round of 82 (+12) to finish in 17th. Thomas Lucci (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) was a shot behind Nguyen at 83 (+13) and came in 22nd. Peter Mahal (Great Meadows, N.J./Hackettstown) was the 43rd-place finisher after posting a score of 88 (+18).
Jayson Gonzalez-Adams (Mayaguez, Puerto Rico/Colegio Rosa-Bell) was Philadelphia's final scorer after carding the 56th-place score of 93 (+23). Austin Regan (Mullica Hill, N.J./Gloucester Catholic) completed the Rams' lineup with a round of 95 to finish in the 61st spot.
Rutgers-Camden's Kevin Sarlo shot a round of even-par 70 to win the individual title.
