PHILADELPHIA – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) men's golf team announced its 2017 fall schedule which includes the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship (CACC) in early October, previously held in the spring season.
Led by head coach Joe Martin in his ninth season, the men's season begins on Friday, Sept. 1 against USciences and Concordia at the ACE Club, the home of the Rams. Action is slated for 1 p.m.
The Rams then go up against Chestnut Hill on Sunday, Sept. 3 from the ACE Club with tee off set for 2 p.m.
A week later on Sunday, Sept. 10, Jefferson plays in the Swarthmore/Neumann Invitational at Rock Manor Golf Club in Wilmington, Del.
In a two-day tournament on Sept. 23-24, the men play in the Dominican Invitational at Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, N.Y.
The Rams then return home to face USciences and Penn State-Abington on Monday, Sept. 25 from the ACE Club at 2 p.m. to close out the first month of action. It comes as the final tune-up before the conference championship.
The CACC Championship is set for Sunday, Oct. 1 and Monday, Oct. 2 from Back Creek Golf Club in Middletown, Del. A practice round will be played on Saturday, Sept. 30.
To close out the fall, the men will compete in the USciences Invitational at Bluestone Country Club in Blue Bell, Pa. on Oct. 14-15.
The 2018 spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
