Mens Soccer Wins Fourth Straight Game
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University Rams (4-1, 2-0 CACC) won their fourth straight contest with a 3-1 win over the visiting Holy Family Tigers (3-2-1, 0-1-1 CACC) on Thursday night. Senior forward Svetozar Gladic (Novi Sad, Serbia) notched two of PhilaU's three goals.
Gladic put PhilaU ahead with his first goal at 30:14 in the first half on a direct kick.
The Tigers tied it up less than one minute into the second with a header from Jason Lopez, assisted on a cross from Ryan McNamee.
Senior midfielder/forward Emmanuel Asangmbeng (Riverdale, MD/Bladensburg) booted the eventual game-winner in the 28th minute to break free of a scramble just yards from the goal. PhilaU junior midfielder Mike Mousaw (Marmora, NJ/ Ocean City) crossed the ball to Gladic with nine minutes remaining for the Ram's third goal of the game to make the final 3-1.
The Rams return to action vs. Nyack College on Saturday (9/19) at Ravenhill Field, start time is 11:00 a.m.
