Men's Soccer Wins 5th Straight, 2-0 over Nyack
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University men's soccer team (5-1, 3-0 CACC) got a 2-0 shutout over the Nyack College Warriors (1-4-1, 0-1-1 CACC) on Saturday afternoon. The win was the Ram's fifth straight.
PhilaU took an early lead as senior forward Svetozar Gladic (Novi Sad, Serbia) gave the Rams a 1-0 tally off a cross from sophomore forward Milos Racic (Belgrade, Serbia/ Ridley).
Sophomore forward/midfielder Ian Martin (Silver Spring, MD/ Sherwood) scored just a minute later off an assist from sophomore midfielder Ryan Purnell (Hamilton, Bermuda/ Berkeley Inst.) to go up 2-0.
PhilaU senior goalie Buddy Custer (Cinnaminson, NJ/ Cinnaminson) had seven saves for the Rams, while Adrian Ibanez made seven stops for the Warriors.
The Rams return to action on Tuesday (9/22) vs. Goldey-Beacom at 4:30 p.m. at Ravenhill Field..
