Tennis Hosts Adelphi, # 7 Men Fall 8-1, #4 Womens Win 9-0
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University #7 regionally-ranked men's tennis team (15-7, 10-0 CACC) dropped a non-conference match 8-1 to the #4 ranked Adelphia University Panthers on Saturday afternoon, while the #4 regionally-ranked PhilaU women (16-6, 7-0 CACC) gave the Panther women a 9-0 blanking. The team also recognized senior Borys Jarocz for 'Senior Day 2009'.
The #2 doubles team of sophomores Tom McAvoy (Phoenixville, PA/ Phoenixville) and Seppi Hutter (Bellevue, WA/ Bellevue) clinched an 8-5 win- the only Ram points of the day.
For the women, both singles #1 Adriana Rodriguez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Colegio Sagrados Corazones) and #2 Daniela Rodriguez (Quito, Ecuador/ Colegio Menor) won their matches by default and teamed up at #1 doubles to get an 8-3 win over Alda Ribiero/Nikki Byrnes.
