PhilaU Men’s Tennis Takes CACC Crowns

Philadelphia, PA- Two Philadelphia University men’s tennis players took home individual titles at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Individual Tournament today at Chestnut Hill College. 

PhilaU sophomore Adrian Torroella-Cruz (Gainesville, FL/ Gainesville) defended his singles’ title to become a two-time CACC Singles Champion on Saturday afternoon in a 6-2, 7-5 victory over junior teammate Manoli Sgouros (Forest Hills, NY/ Holy Cross).   

The duo joined forces in the CACC Doubles Tournament to take down Chestnut Hill College’s Twyman/Richter 8-2 to also win the doubles title.  Both earned CACC All-Conference accolades for their performances.
