Mens Tennis Wraps up 2010 Season at NCAA East Regional
Flushing, NY- The Philadelphia University men’s tennis team (20-7, 10-2 CACC) completed a stellar 2010 season on Friday (5/7) at the NCAA East Regional Tournament, hosted by Queens College.
The Rams picked up their first-ever NCAA win a day earlier in a 5-1 victory over Merrimack College, but fell to #11 nationally-ranked Concordia College Clippers 5-0 on Friday morning.
It was the third loss of the year for PhilaU vs. Concordia, as the Rams faced the Clippers in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament earlier in the season and once in the regular season. In their most recent meeting, PhilaU picked up just six games total from the Clippers.
The Rams boasted a 20-win season and NCAA bid under new Head Coach Cha Goods, who promises to bring the squad back even stronger in the fall of 2010.
