Men’s Tennis Claims Win Over USP, 7-2

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University men's tennis team (11-5, 2-1 CACC) took out visiting University of the Sciences (5-3, 1-2 CACC) Wednesday.

 

Coming up big in doubles was the pairing of seniors Seppi Hutter and Tom McAvoy who came out on top 8-1. Likewise winning in doubles was the duo of junior Ryan Christopher and sophomore Kyle Burke claiming an 8-3 victory.

 

Singles saw PhilaU taking five out six matchups. Hutter came away allowing only three points, scoring 6-2 and 6-1. After finding himself down a set (2-6), Burke claimed two sets (6-3 and 6-2) to take the win.

 

The Rams travel to East Stroudsburg University this Sunday for their next matchup at 11:00 a.m.
