Men’s Tennis Senior Tom McAvoy Reaches 100 Wins in 2011

Philadelphia, PA- With the Philadelphia University men’s tennis team’s season ending recently in the NCAA East Regional final, a noteworthy milestone has been announced. 

Senior men’s tennis player Tom McAvoy became just the third Ram player to reach 100 career wins earlier this season, in an 8-0 #6 singles match at St. Thomas Aquinas College vs. Daniel Maysonet.  Earlier in the match, McAvoy teamed with fellow senior Seppi Hutter to win 8-4 at #3 doubles.

McAvoy joins Hutter and women’s senior Daniela Rodriguez on the 100 wins list.  Their names will be added to a banner that will hang in the Gallagher Athletic Center later in the year.
