Men’s tennis comes out with its spring schedule
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Philadelphia University men's tennis released its 17-match 2012 spring schedule on Wednesday.
The Rams, who went 1-3 in the fall, travel to the nation's capital to open the spring against the University of the District of Columbia, the 2011 East Coast Conference (ECC) runner-up, on Feb. 25. One day later, Philadelphia returns home to take on Adelphi at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center.
The team heads south to Florida for three matches in Orlando. Philadelphia takes on Wayne State (Mich.), a NCAA Tournament team, on March 12. On the 13th, the Rams face off against Northeast-10 semifinalist Stonehill. The Florida trip ends March 14 with against McKendree.
The other big non-conference match on the schedule is against the ECC champion and a 2011 NCAA Sweet 16 team in Queens (N.Y.) on April 1.
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play begins when the Rams host Caldwell on March 20. The CACC schedule also includes home dates against University of the Sciences (March 28), Bloomfield (March. 31) and Post (April 14).
Philadelphia travels to New York to take on the two-time defending CACC champion Concordia on April 7.
