Muhlenberg, PA- The Philadelphia University men’s and women’s track teams competed in the Muhlenberg College Spring Invitational on Saturday (4/2)
On the women’s side, the day was highlighted by a second-place finish in the 4x800 as the team of freshman Chelsea Attaway and juniors Gabrielle Dei Tos, Anjelica DiNucci and Meghan McAdorey took the silver. In the 5K, sophomore Christina Wetzel took 23rd (22:00). In the 1500, Dei Tos finished 7th (5:06) and Attaway took 14th (5:14). In the 800, DiNucci took 11th (2:30) and Dei Tos finished 15th (2:33).
For the men, the 4x800 team of freshmen Noah Hutton and Didier Barjon, junior Scott Murphy along with senior Tyler Dye secured a fourth-place finish (8:36). Dye finished third in the 3K steeplechase (10:11), while in the 1500 Hutton took third-place (4:07). In the 800, Hutton took 9th (2:02) and Barjon took 14th (2:03).
Both teams travel to Rider University on Saturday (4/9) to compete in the Rider Invitational next.
