ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Tim Malloy claimed victory in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to highlight the Philadelphia University men's track team's day at the Muhlenburg Invitational, hosted by Muhlenberg College, Saturday afternoon.
Malloy won the event with a time of 10 minutes, 3.23 seconds, just over two seconds faster than the second place finisher.
Eric Lacy turned in a third-place effort in the steeplechase, stopping the clock in 10:10.00.
Zac Garman crossed the finish line in sixth place in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:05.35. Franklin Overstreet completed the race in 17:52.89 to finish in 10th.
Erik Lacey came home 15th by finishing the 200-meter dash in 23.91. Didier Barjon's time of 4:11.90 placed him in 16th place in a 47-person 1,500-meter run field.
The Rams' 4x800-meter relay team of Malloy, Byron O'Donnell, Barjon and Lacey finished the race in 8:13.81 to come in third.
