CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Philadelphia University men's track team recorded several strong performances at the Collegiate Track Conference Championship Sunday at DeSales University.
The 4x800-meter relay team had Philadelphia's top performance with a second-place finish by completing the race in 8 minutes, 15.53 seconds. The team was made up of Eric Lacy, Didier Barjon, Bryon O'Donnell and Tim Malloy.
Lacy also had a strong showing in the 1,500-meter run with a season-best time of 4:10.47 and came in fourth. Barjon was 10th in the event with a time of 4:15.08.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Malloy was third with a time of 10:06.15, while Mike Duvally posted a 10th-place time of 11:22.54. Corey Pedersen stopped the clock at 1:02.65 in the 400-meter hurdles and came in fifth. Zac Garman was seventh in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:00.71.
Philadelphia closes out its 2012 season at the Penn Relays Thursday, April 26 at Franklin Field.
