WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Eric Lacy (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield) posted a second-place finish in the 800-meter run to lead the Philadelphia University men's track team at the West Chester Open Saturday afternoon at West Chester University.
In the 21-runner event, Lacy turned in a time of 1 minute, 58.70 seconds to take the runner-up spot. Jim McShane (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) rounded out the top five with a fifth place time of 2:01.23. Didier Barjon (Tampa, Fla./HB Plant) was also in the top ten for the Rams as he crossed the finish line in ninth with a time of 2:02.96.
Tyler Dye (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) was third out of 20 runners in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:39. Zac Garman (Monroe, Mich./Monroe) had the eighth-place time of 16:18.25.
Tim Malloy (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield) came in seventh in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:16.70. Eric Przyuski (Audubon, Pa./Methacton) had the ninth-place time (52.39) in the 400-meter dash.
Philadelphia will compete in the Collegiate Track Conference Championship at Georgian Court University. The two-day event starts on Friday, April 19.
