Men's Cross Country Wins Goldey-Beacom Invitational

Coach Dave Thomas' teams had a fine day at the Goldey-Beacom Fall Classic in Wilmington, Del., with the men finishing first among seven teams and the women second among nine teams. Highlights include four men finishing in the top 10: Shawn D'Andrea (2nd), Andrew Piotrowski (3rd), Jeff Kopczynski (6th) and David Snyder (9th). In addition, the women took the top three positions after three opposing runners were disqualified for taking a wrong turn and shortening their course. Melissa Rennekamp (shown at right) was declared the winner, while Faith Anderson came home second and Cassie Cohick third. Next up for both squads is another meeting in Delaware next Saturday, October 13^th at 10:30 a.m. for the Delaware Invitational at White Clay Creek State Park in Newark.
