NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Philadelphia University's Tim Malloy earned the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rookie of the week award. The CACC office made the announcement Tuesday.
At the NCAA Division II East Regional championship Sunday, Nov. 6, Malloy was the top finishing CACC rookie with a 40th-place finish with a time of 33 minutes, 29 seconds. He had the second-best time on the Rams, trailing only Kip Kirui's 33:00.4. As a team, Philadelphia placed ninth out of 25 teams.
This is the fifth time that Malloy has earned the conference's rookie of the week award.
Earlier this season, Malloy earned the CACC's rookie of the year award after being the top-finishing rookie at the CACC championship meet. He came in fifth at the event.
