Dye voted on to Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Men’s Cross Country Team

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Philadelphia University senior Tyler Dye was selected to the 2011 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Men's Cross Country Team Tuesday. The seven-runner team was voted on by the 28 Philadelphia metropolitan area sports information offices.

Dye, an architecture major, ran his way onto the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) team with a 10th-place finish at the CACC championship. He helped the Rams come in second place in the conference. Dye was named to the CACC All-Academic team in 2009 and 2010 and the 2010 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic team.

 To be nominated for the Academic All-Area team, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore and have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30.
