WILMINGTON, Del. – The Philadelphia University men's cross country team finished in second place at the Goldey-Beacom College Fall Classic Saturday morning at Carousel Park.
The Rams placed three runners inside the first 10 spots to end the event with 46 points. The host Lightning had 26 points to claim their home meet. Finishing in third was the University of the Sciences with 64 points.
Ethan Fadale (Selingsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) was Philadelphia's first finisher as he completed the 8-kilometer course in season-best time of 29 minutes, 09.84 seconds to end up in the runner-up spot. Aidan Cusick (Castle Pines, Colo./Valor Christian) claimed third-place after crossing the finish line in 29:25.45.
Jake Wong (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) posted time of 30:43.98, a season best, to round out the top 10. Eric Przyuski (Audubon, Pa./Methacton) recorded the 14th-place time of 32:15.99. Shane Fleming (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) finished in a season-low time of 33:24.01 to finish in 21st and claim the Rams' final scoring position.
Alec Fixl (New Tripoli, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) was 33rd with a time of 36:38.63.
Goldey-Beacom's Aaron Easter claimed the individual title with the winning time of 28:34.48.
Philadelphia heads to Lehigh University on Friday, Oct. 2 to compete in the Paul Short Run.
