Men's cross country finishes 24th in NCAA East Region Championship

HOPKINTON, N.H. – The Philadelphia University men's cross country team completed the 2015 season by finishing 24th at the NCAA Division II East Region Championship at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds on Sunday afternoon.

Led by Ethan Fadale's (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) 78th-place finish, Philadelphia posted a score of 627 points in its first 10-kilometer race of the season. American International College won the region title with 45 points. Bentley accumulated 103 points to finish second, while Stonehill was third with 122 points.

Fadale—an All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference runner—completed the race course in 34 minutes, 33.30 seconds to lead the Rams. It was the fifth time this season that Fadale was Philadelphia's fastest runner.

Aidan Cusick (Castle Pines, Colo./Valor Christian) crossed the finish line with the 93rd-place time of 35:08.97. Jake Wong (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) ran the race in a time of 36.55.62 to finish in the 149th-position. Sergei Cendo (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) and Eric Przyuski (Audubon, Pa./Methacton) came in 167th and 168th, respectively, to complete the Philadelphia scoring. Cendo's time was 38:13.22, while Przyuski posted a 38:23.96.

Shane Fleming's (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) time of 40:19.74 placed him in the 180th spot. Alec Fixl (New Tripoli, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) rounded out the lineup with the 188th-place time of 42:44.04.

American International's John Chirchir claimed the region's individual title with the winning time of 30:48.99.
