Senior Jacque Curtis Earns CACC All-Conference Accolades for Second Straight Season

Senior Jacque Curtis was selected as a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) second-team All-Conference utility player, the league announced today. In doing so, Curtis earns her second straight all-conference honors, having been a first-team selection at utility player as a junior in 2007.
A product of Punxsutawney (Pa.) High, Curtis concluded her career as one of the top players in school history, excelling as both a hitter and a pitcher. A four-year starter for the Lady Rams, Curtis set school records for career homeruns (14), career RBI (79) and single-season homeruns (6) in 2007. She also ranks fourth all-time in school history with 75 runs, 138 hits and 23 doubles while on the mound, she finished fifth all-time with 23 victories and third all-time with 214 strikeouts.
"Jacque is very deserving of this recognition," said Head Coach John Kelly of Curtis. "I stated before that she is the finest softball player that I have ever had the pleasure of coaching and while the numbers certainly reflect that, it was how she did it that set her apart. She had an amazing combination of hard work, desire and dedication, along with outstanding athletic ability, that enabled her to become one of the top players this program has ever known."
