Softball’s Schmidt Named ECAC ‘Co-Pitcher of the Week’

Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University freshman pitcher Ali Schmidt (Cordova, MD/ Easton) has been named the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) ‘Co-Pitcher of the Week' for her performances ending on April 5^th. The honor is Schmidt's first regional distinction.

Earlier in the week, Schmidt was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) ‘Pitcher of the Week' and Rookie of the Week' as she went 3-0 with a .36 ERA, shutting down #16 nationally-ranked Georgian Court University in a 2-1 11 inning win and getting a 1-0 shutout over #1 regionally-ranked C.W. Post. She totaled 38 strikeouts on the week.
