Softball Field Gets New Renovations for 2010

Philadelphia, PA- The Bucky Harris Softball Field, home to the Philadelphia University softball team, is getting a face-lift in time for the 2010 spring season.

"The Athletic Department is working on the continual improvement of our facilities and I can tell you that the softball field will be much improved for 2010," said PhilaU Athletic Director Tom Shirley.

The field, located at the southwest corner of Henry Avenue and School House Lane, is in the middle of renovations that will include better drainage on the first-base line, a complete re-sodding and leveling of the outfield along with addressing the lip that was previously between the infield dirt and outfield grass.
