Softball Picks Up Split, 4-1 over St. Michael’s & 3-2 Loss to Limestone

Clermont, FL- The Philadelphia University softball team (2-4) picked up another split on their third day in Florida, falling 3-2 to Limestone College in the first game of the day and then picking up a 4-1 victory over the St. Michael’s College Purple Knights in the later contest.

In the 4-1 win over the Purple Knights, sophomore pitcher Ali Schmidt (Cordova, MD/ Easton) picked up a two-hitter.  

Against Limestone, freshman pitcher Nicole Singel (Exton, PA/ Downingtown East) took the loss.

PhilaU returns for their final games of their trip on Thursday (3/18), facing St. Michael’s at 9:30 a.m. and then Franklin Pierce University at 11:30 a.m.
