Romano Posts Double-Double in Victory over Georgian Court

Sophomore forward Jessica Romano poured in a game-high 27 points and added ten rebounds for a double-double, leading the Philadelphia University women's basketball team to an 80-61 triumph over Georgian Court University on Thursday night on the road. With the win, the Lady Rams improve to 8-5 overall including a 3-3 record in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).
Along with Romano's performance, Head Coach Tom Shirley got 15
points from junior guard Amanda Brennan and 14 points and eight
rebounds from senior forward Ashley Webster. With Webster's
output, she needs just 13 points to become just the 23rd women's
player in school history to score 1,000 career points.
Up next for Shirley's team will be Dominican College on the road on
Saturday, January 19th. Tip-off with the Chargers is
scheduled for 1:00 p.m., as the Lady Rams look to secure their
fourth consecutive victory.
