Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women's basketball team (4-3, 1-1 CACC) made their intentions clear at the Gallagher Center Sunday afternoon as they took out Wilmington University (1-9, 1-4 CACC) in a 79-27 matchup. Junior center Christine Wooding displayed her consistency shooting 8-8 from the field and 4-4 from the line for 20 points.
Keys to the game were field goals (PhilaU 33-WU's 9) and rebounding (PhilaU's 40-WU's 30).
At the end of the first half, PhilaU went into the locker room holding the lead at 42-16 with the last second layup by senior guard Stephanie Agger.
Top scorers for the Rams included the duo of Agger and senior forward Kate Brennan who each added 15 points. Sophomore forward Kristen Blye held eight points while pulling down eight boards and one steal.
PhilaU's schedule keeps the ladies at home to play against Pitt-Greensburg on Tuesday (12/28) at 12:00 p.m.
