Wooding tabbed CACC women’s basketball player of the week
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Philadelphia University center Christine Wooding earned the first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's basketball player of the week award for the 2011-12 season by the league office Monday.
Wooding averaged 21.0 points, 13.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks while leading the Lady Rams to a pair of wins over the weekend. In the team's 60-53 victory Sunday against St. Thomas Aquinas, Wooding went off to record 23 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. She had also had 19 points and nine boards in an 81-66 triumph over C.W. Post. Wooding shot 60 percent (15-of-25) over the weekend.
Philadelphia (2-0) hosts West Chester University in a non-conference contest Tuesday, Nov. 15 starting at 7 p.m.
