Blye earns CACC women’s basketball player of the week award
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Philadelphia University forward Kristen Blye has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's basketball player of the week by the conference office Monday.
In a pair of Lady Ram victories Blye averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals. In the 62-61 win at Lincoln (Pa.) University on Nov. 30, Blye netted a game-high 24 points along with six rebounds. She followed that up with her first double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 boards in an 87-49 win against Wilmington (Del.) University on Dec. 3.
Blye is second on the Lady Rams in scoring (15.6 points per game) and rebounding (6.6 per game). She is the team's best shooter (54.1 percent).
Philadelphia (5-2, 1-0 CACC) welcomes CACC opponent Georgian Court University to the Gallagher Center Tuesday, Dec. 6 for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
