Women’s lacrosse releases 2012 slate
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Philadelphia University women's lacrosse team has announced its 17-match 2012 schedule, which features 12 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matches and five-non conference contests, Friday.
The Lady Rams open the 2012 season against the three-time defending national champion Adelphi University Saturday, March 10 at Ravenhill Field. One day later Philadelphia begins CACC play when it hosts Post University.
The rest of the non-conference slate includes home match-ups against East Coast Conference opponents Queens (N.Y.) (March 21) and St. Thomas Aquinas (April 13) and road trips to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference foes East Stroudsburg (March 25) and Kutztown (March 27).
The Lady Rams welcome the two-time defending CACC champion Georgian Court University to East Falls March 17. The two teams meet again on April 5 in Lakewood, N.J.
Philadelphia takes on Holy Family at home on April 14 and heads to Northeast Philadelphia for an April 25 showdown. Dominican comes to Ravenhill Field for a March 24 contest, and then hosts the Lady Rams April 29, the final day of the regular season. The Tigers and Chargers both qualified for the CACC championship tournament last season.
