Ray tabbed CACC women’s lacrosse player of the week
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Philadelphia University midfielder Emily Ray was selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's lacrosse player of the week by the conference office Tuesday.
Ray had a big week offensively, scoring 14 goals in three Lady Ram (5-5, 4-2 CACC) victories. She opened the week with a pair of goals in a 9-8 non-conference win at Kutztown on March 27. Two days later Ray recorded an eight-point game against Wilmington (Del.) by scoring six goals and recording two assists. She ended the week with a six-goal effort to help Philadelphia take down Post on April 1.
Ray is currently leading the CACC, and ranks 10th in Division II, with 34 goals. She is 12 goals away from reaching the 100-goal plateau.
Philadelphia is at Georgian Court for a CACC contest Thursday, April 5 at 4 p.m.
