Women’s Rowing Finishes 2nd in East Region

Erie, PA- The Philadelphia University women's rowing team competed at the NCAA East Regional regatta hosted by Mercyhurst College on Sunday (4/26), finishing in second-place overall in the east region. 

PhilaU won the varsity four and novice four events.  The varsity eight placed third overall, and for the first time finished within one boat-length of Dowling. 

The varsity four women's win was big for the Lady Rams as they had been beaten by Mercyhurst at the Knecht Cup by 15 seconds just two weeks earlier. 

Earlier in the week, the men's team competed at the Bergen Cup in Philadelphia, taking second-place in the varsity eight behind just Temple.
