PhilaU Rowing Fares Well Despite Rain and Strong Gusts

Conshohocken, PA- The PhilaU men's and women's rowing teams won three races and fared well overall in a home regatta vs. Washington College, Villanova and Dowling on the Schuylkill River on Saturday, April 4^th. The course was shortened due to rain and wind to 1500m as the teams raced upriver against the gusts and the current.

PhilaU women's V8 beat out Washington in 8:37.71 for the win, while the women's 2V won (8:49.34) over ‘Nova and Washington.

For the men, the V4 took second overall (7:44.42), bested only by Washington while the Men's novice four won (5:55) over Washington and ‘Nova.

The Ram teams return to action on Friday and Saturday (4/10-11) in the Knecht Cup in Camden, NJ on the Cooper River
