PhilaU Rowing Fares Well Despite Rain and Strong Gusts
Conshohocken, PA- The PhilaU men's and women's rowing teams won three races and fared well overall in a home regatta vs. Washington College, Villanova and Dowling on the Schuylkill River on Saturday, April 4th. The course was shortened due to rain and wind to 1500m as the teams raced upriver against the gusts and the current.
PhilaU women's V8 beat out Washington in 8:37.71 for the win, while the women's 2V won (8:49.34) over ‘Nova and Washington.
For the men, the V4 took second overall (7:44.42), bested only by Washington while the Men's novice four won (5:55) over Washington and ‘Nova.
The Ram teams return to action on Friday and Saturday (4/10-11) in the Knecht Cup in Camden, NJ on the Cooper River
