Women’s Rowing Opens Spring at Governor’s Cup

Melbourne, FL- The Philadelphia University women’s rowing team opened their spring schedule in Florida, racing in the two day long Governor’s Cup.

A chilly morning gave way to a pleasant afternoon, as the Lady Rams recorded their best finish of the weekend in the Women’s V8, a third-place finish (7:04) behind Florida Tech and Columbia University. 

The women’s V4 timed out at 8:13 for a third-place finish behind Columbia (1) and Florida Tech (2) in an earlier race on Saturday.

The novice four recorded a time of 8:48.4 behind Barry University. 

The maroon and gray will next compete at Princeton on Saturday (3/27).
