PhilaU Rowing Ends Season at Dad Vails in Final Races

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University men's and women's rowing teams saw their  seasons come to an end on Saturday at the Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River.

The men's V4 took fifth place (6:48) in their grande final heat of six boats.  Georgia Tech took the race in 6:32.  The PhilaU boat finished fifth out of 54 crews in the regatta.

"It was a really good race for our men, in the most competitive event at the Dad Vail, said Head Coach Chris O'Brien."

In the final race of the regatta, the women's V8 took third in the petite final.

"It's disappointing for us not to advance to NCAAs this year, but I'm proud of how our girls competed," said O'Brien.
