Walter, Purnell Earn Soccer Postseason Accolades

Philadelphia, PA- Two Philadelphia University soccer players have earned notable accolades, both academic and athletic.

Women's soccer sophomore midfielder Erin Walter (West Islip, NY/ West Islip) has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District women's soccer 1st Team.  Walter started in all 20 games this season for the Lady Rams, who won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) regular-season championship, all while carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA. 

Men's soccer freshman midfielder Ryan Purnell has been named the Philadelphia University ‘Athlete of the Month'.  Purnell was named CACC ‘Rookie of the Year', earlier in the month after tallying 16 points on the year in 13 games started.
