Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women's soccer team (8-1-1, 7-0 CACC) knocked off the Nyack College Warriors (3-6, 3-1 CACC) on Saturday afternoon at homecoming. The win was the fifth-straight for PhilaU.
PhilaU got the game-winner at 71:23 on an unassisted goal from sophomore midfielder Nicole Van Bourgondien. The Ram's first goal came just three minutes into the first half from sophomore forward Kristen Ferguson, on a cross from Van Bourgondien.
NC scored on a PK in the second half at 53:10 from Ashlee Hayes.
In goal, PhilaU junior goalie Kelli Kowalewski made five saves, while NC keeper Maddy Barbarino had six stops for the Warriors.
PhilaU returns to action on Wednesday (10/5) at Chestnut Hill College at 5 p.m.
