Copeland earns conference player of the week nod

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Philadelphia University midfielder Melissa Copeland has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's (CACC) women's soccer player of the week. The conference office made the announcement on Monday.

Copeland scored a pair of goals and tallied an assist as the Rams went 3-0. She opened the week by scoring a goal in a 2-0 home victory against Georgian Court on Oct. 11. Two days later Copeland recorded a goal and an assist in the Rams' 5-1 win over Molloy.

This season Copeland is second on the team with five goals and third with 14 points.

Philadelphia (13-1-1, 11-0 CACC), winner of its last 10 matches, travels to C.W. Post for a non-conference match Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 3:30 p.m.
