Head Coach George Dunbar begins his 14th season with the Lady Rams in 2011.
Coach Dunbar has led the Lady Rams to a new level of success under his tutelage, as his squads have earned four Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) regular-season championships, a CACC Championship runner-up finish and an Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) title.
The PhilaU women's soccer team closed the 2010 season with an overall record of 9-7-3 and a 9-3 record in the CACC. Three of his players earned All-Conference accolades and one-Erin Walter- was named an ESPN Academic All-American for the second year in a row.
In 2009 the Lady Rams were 13-5-3 overall and an undefeated 8-0-3 in the CACC-earning a regular-season championship. Freshman forward Trisha Sileo was named CACC 'Rookie of the Year'.
In 13 seasons with the program, Dunbar is the all-time leader in women's soccer coaching victories at the University with a 141-76-32 record through '10, more than tripling the mark previously held by Chris Turner and Ray Goon.
At PhilaU, Dunbar focuses on the overall student-athlete experience, taking his teams to play internationally in such countries as Germany and Costa Rica. He consistently has several All-Academic players on the PhilaU roster, who have 3.5 GPA or higher.
Dunbar has an extensive background in soccer coaching and instruction. Prior to coming to the University as an assistant coach in 1998, he served as an assistant to the boy's varsity soccer team at Shawnee High School in Medford, NJ. He also coached the girl’s varsity soccer team at Shawnee for six years (winning the conference championship 4 times). Dunbar has extensive experience coaching at the club level and the WPSL and holds the NSCAA “C” License and the Advanced National License
A 1979 graduate of Glassboro State, Dunbar also served as head coach of the Burlington County College men's team from 1982 to 1990 and was the assistant men's coach at his alma mater in 1979. Dunbar resides in Medford, NJ with his wife Kim and daughters Avery and Olivia.
