Adriana and Daniela Rodriguez Advance in CACC Singles Championship
Philadelphia, PA- A day after winning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) team championship, Philadelphia University sophomores Adriana Rodriguez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Colegio Sagrados Corazones) and Daniela Rodriguez (Quito, Ecuador/Colegio Menor) advanced in the first day of doubles competition as the #1 seed at Chestnut Hill College (CHC).
Rodriguez/Rodriguez defeated Holy Family's Pulsinelli/Lui 8-2 to advance to the CACC doubles championship match tomorrow, Saturday, October 18th at 9:00 a.m. at CHC. They will face Holy Family's Willett/Borres for the second time this week, as they beat them in the CACC Team Championship 8-5.
Both Rodriguez's also advanced to the CACC semifinals in singles competition. A. Rodriguez will face off against Holy Family's Shakir Willett (who she beat in the CACC team championship in three sets) and D. Rodriguez will play Goldey-Beacom's Luisiana Souto- both matches are at 10:30 a.m. at CHC.
