Lady Rams Ace Singles in 6-1 Win at Holy Family
Philadelphia, PA- The Lady Rams (11-2, 6-0 CACC) got four wins at singles to take a 6-1 victory on the road against Holy Family University (6-3, 5-1 CACC) on Wednesday afternoon. Two singles matches were ended unfinished due to darkness. The win guarantees Phila U. a top playoff spot in next week's CACC Championships.
Singles wins included sophomore #1 Adriana Rodriguez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Colegio Sagrados Corazones) with a 6-3, 6-2 victory, #2 Daniela Rodriguez (Quito, Ecuador/Colegio Menor) won 6-2, 6-3, and #4 sophomore Stephanie Reinke (St. James, NY/Smithtown) took a 2-6, 6-4, 10-2 win.
Doubles wins came from the #1 team of Rodriguez/Rodriguez 9-7 and #3 freshmen Brittany Villa (Logan, NJ/Kingsway Regional) and Alex Dunham (Southampton, NY/ Southampton) 8-6.
The Lady Rams have one last CACC match on Sunday, October 12th vs. Georgian Court University at Abraham J. Salaman '58 Courts before hosting their first round of CACC Team Championships on Tuesday, October 14th at 3:00 p.m.
