Marty Gilbert Welcomes Burke, Miller to PhilaU Tennis in the Fall

Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University head men's and women's tennis coach Marty Gilbert has announced two incoming recruits for the fall '09 season. 

Kyle Burke, a Wakefield, Rhode Island native, will be the lone newcomer on the Ram's squad.  Burke is a State Singles Champion from R.I., garnering All-State honors three times.

Stephanie Miller, a Fleetwood, Pennsylvania native, will join the women's team.  She currently holds a #2 ranking in her district and was named both All-County and All-Division in high school.  She was also a three-year MVP for her team. 

Gilbert and his Lady Rams kick-off their fall championship season at home on Saturday, August 29th vs. Chestnut Hill College at 3:30 p.m., while the men are slated to open at home against Rider on Sunday, September 13th, time to be determined.
