Women’s Tennis Falls at Holy Family

Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University women's tennis team (6-6, 3-4 CACC) dropped their first match in over a week on Tuesday afternoon, losing 5-4 at Holy Family (9-2, 6-2 CACC).

The Rams captured two out of three singles matches as freshman Isabella Espinosa, PhilaU's # 1, rallied to beat Juliana Victoria 6-6, 7-6, 7-4. Senior Daniela Rodriguez, # 3, followed with a win over Maja Pantelic 6-3, 6-4. Rounding out PhilaU's solo wins was junior, # 4, Brittany Villa, who topped Linda Piecyk 6-0, 6-2.

In doubles play, PhilaU's # 2 pair of Rodriguez/Villa recorded the Rams' lone win, beating Chelsea Brown/Pantelic 9-7.

The Rams will conclude the regular season on Saturday (10/16) at Post University. The match is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
