Lady Rams fall to Division I Norfolk State, 7-2

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Philadelphia University women's tennis team was defeated by Division I Norfolk State University, 7-2, Friday afternoon at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center.

The Lady Rams (10-8) earned their two points, one in singles and one in doubles, by default.

Olivia Amato put up a strong fight in her No. 4 singles match against the Spartans' (8-10) Maryna Kariuk, taking the second set to a tiebreak. In the end, Kariuk won the match 6-3, 7-6 (7-1).

Philadelphia returns to the court against visiting Georgian Court on Tuesday, April 3 at 3:30 p.m.
