Men and Women’s Cross Country Among Top at Penn Relays
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University men's and women's track teams took part in the historical Penn Relays on Sunday (4/17) at Franklin Park in Philadelphia. Top finishers for the 5K race included junior Sarah Simonetti who took second overall in the women's race (19:19) and freshman Noah Hutton who placed second for the men (16:15).
The Rams had a strong showing at the finish line as the women team took first place in the Penn Relay 5K Road Championship while the men took second.
PhilaU received several age-group top performers in the event. Freshman Chelsea Attaway (20:29), 15-19, and junior Gabrielle Dei Tos (19:54), 20-29, each finished first for their age groups. Junior Tyler Dye (16:34) took first for the males ages 20-29 while freshman Didier Barjon (17:27) took the number three spot for 15-19.
The track teams complete their season on Saturday (4/23) at the Widener Invitational.
