Falvey leads women's track at the Muhlenberg Invitational

MUHLENBERG, Pa. – Taylor Falvey (York, Pa./York Catholic) claimed victory in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18 minutes 36.28 seconds to highlight the Philadelphia University women's track team's Saturday at the Muhlenberg Invitational.

Alyssa Litty (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) also competed in the 5,000 and brought home a podium finish in the 18-runner field as she recorded a third-place time of 18:50.37.

Caitlin Vanleer (Ivyland, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) claimed the 10th spot in the 800-meter run after crossing the finish line in 2:31.06.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Vanleeer, Emilie Barton, (Sterling, Ill./Newman Central Catholic), Litty, and Clarissa Kelsey (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington) came in sixth with a time of 10:56.67.

Courtney Lafferty was 11th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:57.35.

Philadelphia's next event is the West Chester Open on Saturday, April 13.
