Volleyball Bedevils USP in 3-0 Shutout
Philadelphia, PA- Senior outside hitter Katie Miller (Elkton, MD/ Rising Sun) had nine kills and 12 digs in leading the Philadelphia University women's volleyball squad (16-9, 11-3) to a 3-0 sweep of University of the Sciences (9-16, 7-7 CACC) on Tuesday night.
Set scores were: 25-15, 25-19 and 25-21.
Also performing well was junior outside hitter Celena Rendon (San Antonio, TX/ Tom C. Clark) who had eight kills and 11 digs, along with two blocks. Junior defensive setter Natalie Amodei (West Chester, PA/Bishop Shanahan) had 14 digs for the Lady Rams.
Freshman setter Adrienne Stigura (Reading, PA/ Reading Central Catholic) had five digs, while junior setter Lauren Hoover (New Baltimore, MI/ Anchor Bay) had six digs for PhilaU.
The Lady Rams will host Chestnut Hill on Thursday, October 30th at 7:00 p.m.
